I feel like each month that passes I am shocked at how quick she grows. It kills me to think I have a 5 month old! Our peanut is getting so big! Here's what is new about our baby girl...
- She weighs just under 15 pounds. (14.6 according to the shipping scale at work. Tehee).
- She is doing great with baby foods! so far Brooklynn has had and liked: Rice cereal, oatmeal, mixed grains, squash, applesauce, green beans, yams, bananas... and carrots and pears are next. I have no doubt she will like both of them as well!
- Brooklynn rolls over to her belly a lot! But isn't a huge fan of staying there. Once she has been on her belly for a few minutes she fusses. She rolls over in her crib at night and we have started just letting her fuss until she falls asleep. This doesn't last more than 20 minutes. Last week she woke up 5 times a night fussing about being on her belly.
- Brooklynn is sitting up for about a minute on her own now! She does have to use her arms to brace herself sometimes, but she gets pretty excited about her new trick!
- She loves water. We have given her more baths lately and she gets us very wet!
- We took her swimming this month! She did great! Check that out here!
- Brooklynn gives hugs! She wraps her arms around your neck and squeezes in the mornings when you pick her up out of her crib. It is my favorite thing!!
- We had her dedicated on April 3. It was a great day to celebrate raising out girl up in Christ.
- Brooklynn has been much more active lately. Kicks her legs and moves her arms all the time.
- She has also found her voice! She just talks all the time!
- Brooklynn loves the sound of a buzzing or motor boat you can make with your mouth. She always giggles. I love it!
- Brooklynn grabs with two hands now. We are working on getting her to hold her bottle now, but she grabs at anything. She used to hate cold and now she loves to hold cold things.
- She chews on everything. We have gotten her some teethers and she loves them!
