I waited for my appointment and then went back after about 30 minutes of sitting. She came into the room and we talked for a minute about how I have been feeling. Then she grabbed the handheld doppler and she started to look for the heatbeat. After about 10 seconds the machine beeped and she said "oh... well I might not be able to find it on thie until after 12 weeks anyway". and walked out of the room.
About 5 minutes later the nurse walked in and said she was moving me to the ultrasound room instead. I kinda panicked a bit because I thought there was something wrong, but turns out the battery had to be charged and so she just wanted to do an ultrasound instead for fun.
My Dr really loves her job and it is very evident. She found the heartbeat and we listened to it. She then measured the baby (4.57 cm). She told me she never gets tired of looking at them. It was really fun and special because it was unexpected. She took 6 awesome shots of our little one. They were all really clear. You can see where the bones are hardening and the facial bones. It was a fun appointment. Nate was mad he missed it.
