swim lessons

Brooklynn took her first swim lesson last week at Aquasafe Swim School. I taught there for 4 summers. I love this place. I couldn't imagine her lessons being anywhere else. We we able to swim with a friend of mine, Jennifer. So fun to get to swim with her and she used Brooklynn as her example because of how great she is. (Maybe I am exaggerating a bit). She was so tired after swimming. Seriously slept almost 4 hours that afternoon!

6 Months

**Disclaimer: My child is rapidly approaching 7 months. When I wrote this post, it never actually posted correctly, so I figured it was erased and never bothered to look. But blogger saved it. So I figured for good measure I would post it. Expect her 7 mont post soon!**

Our baby is six months. How is that even possible??? She really is the most special gift we could ever ask for. Here are some new things Brooklynn is doing this month:

• She loves to eat. She really only hasn't loved green beans. She loves anything else we put in her mouth. If I had to guess I would say her favorite veggie is squash and her favorite fruit is banana. Mmmmm is her reply to each bite! I am making her foods and I really love it! It has saved us a fair amount of money too. Foods she has had so far are:
• Banana
• Apple
• Pears
• Squash
• Sweet Potatos/Yams
• Green Beans
• Peas
• Carrots
• Watermelon
• Grains
• Brooklynn is very vocal. She loves to talk. (Just like mama).
• She is sitting up all by herself now. She topples over after a while but will usually sit for a few minutes.
• She rolls over all the time. That is her current form of transportation.Though I am pretty sure that she will be crawling soon. She gets on all fours she just hasn't figured out forward motion.
• Some days I think the teeth are coming and then the next I have no clue. She has started pinching or biting and holding when she nurses. Ouch!
• We are still nursing. Not ready to give it up but getting close.
• She loves to stand and jump. We have been helping her stand and hold onto the couch. She likes this! And we have a jumper that lights and sings, it's so cute when she jumps in this too!
• She loves the water! I am sure we will be outside all summer!
• Brooklynn is still a great sleeper. She sleeps around 10 hours a night! has since about 5 weeks.
• Brooklynn loves to be in the jogging stroller. She loves to look around and interact with the world around her.

We couldn't love you more baby girl!
