Never Alone

So my sister actually found this song, but I can't get enough of it. I love Lady A and this song is no exception. I just hope and pray Brooklynn knows how much I love her and think about her every moment. Enjoy the lyrics. And download the song!

Never Alone- Lady Anetbellium featuring Jim Brickman

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
May you always have plenty
The glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone

May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
With every year passing
They mean more than gold
May you win but stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone

Chorus:
Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

well
I have to be honest
As much as I want it
I'm not gonna promise that the cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
And when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

Two Months

My baby girl is two months already. I can't believe how fast it is going. Good friends of ours just had a baby that was 6 ounces bigger than Brooklynn at birth. When I went to see her in the hospital I couldn't believe how little she was compared to Brooklynn. And I couldn't even remember Brooklynn being that small and yet she was smaller. It's amazing how fast it changes. Here is what Brooklynn is up to this month.

  • She has awesome neck control and can hold her head up on her own most of the time. She got a Bumbo seat that you can't put them in until the can hold their head and so she can use it!
  • She smiles and giggles so often. Most of the time it is in the mornings just for mama! She also "talks" too. This has become our nightly question routine. "What did you do today?" and then we listen to her babble and laugh and smile. So cute!
  • Brooklynn still hasn't rolled over, but all in her due time. She can get to her side and then doesn't know what to do with her hand.
  • Speaking of her hands, she likes to suck on them. She is tries to suck her thumb, but can't quite figure that out, so she ends up sucking on her hand. We are trying to keep her from being a thumb sucker.
  • She likes to be naked now. She hated that when she was first born.
  • Brooklynn will respond to you. She mimics faces you make. We love that she is doing this. It's so cute. Mostly just for Nate and I.
  • She sleeps anywhere between 7 and 10 hours a night! Amazing!
  • Brooklynn is wearing 3 month clothes and just a few 6 month clothes, depending on the brand. She is defiantly getting bigger! (See picture below!)
  • Her hair is getting so long! We have to wash it every other day or it gets too oily. Sometimes it looks strawberry blond and sometimes just dirty blond.
  • She is still nursing like a champ! And takes a bottle just as well.
  • She loves lights and movement. And she loves to dance and sway.
  • She really likes to be held upright looking over your shoulder. She doesn't like to be cradled like a baby anymore!
  • I started back to work this month and she has been doing great for Nana and Grandma Cathy. She is coming to work one day a week and is doing really well there as well. Mama was a little nervous about no work getting done, but she really is an easy baby.

We think our little peanut is two times as cute as last month. We love her little expressions and can't wait to see what this month brings. We feel so blessed each day! Happy two months sweet love!

So Cute!

Right before Christmas we got Brooklynn's pictures taken. A photographer named Lori came to our house and took them. They turned out so cute! Here are just a few of my favorites....

Empty

Well we got all of the Christmas decorations put away. What is it about taking down decorations that just went up a month ago, that makes a home feel so empty? It always makes me want to decorate more! So here is my list for 2011 of things I want to work on in my house.

  • Curtains. In a few places in our house. (Our room, downstairs).
  • Start saving for and looking at tile for the downstairs and bathrooms.
  • De-clutter all over! We have so much junk!
  • Backsplash?
  • Pictures on the stairs. (I have the frames just need to put some pictures in them.
  • New tablecloth and napkins for the kitchen table.
  • Organize the garage and guest room.
Short list and yet so much to tackle. Hopefully I can get a bunch of it done. I really want to be better at goal setting/goal meeting this year. I make great lists, but I feel like I never actually accomplish half of it. So there it is. Happy new year!
