Before Brooklynn was born, my parents bought a few baby items for their house, like a pack and play, baby bath, towels, soap, wash clothes and such. But not just any bath, a whirlpool baby bath. Since her belly button healed, my dad has been asking when he could give her a bath. So on Christmas we all came over in our pj's and let my dad bathe her. They both loved this time. And Brooklynn loves her bath/shower time. Look at these cute pictures I got of her!

Christmas 2010
Brooklynn's First Christmas- Handmade ornament.
We took our princess to Christmas Eve service at Copper Hills then we went to Grandma Cathy's house for dinner and gift exchange with Nate's extended family.
After Christmas with my parents we headed down to Mesa for Christmas dinner with my aunt, uncle and cousins. We had a wonderful day. This means we hit up 5 houses in one day! We were all tired by the end of the day.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Brooklynn was a trooper through church and then all through dinner she got passed around. By the time we got to present she was done. Too much stimulation. Mommy had to hold her or she was very upset. When our Christmas eve picture was taken, she was ready to go home!
Christmas Day we woke up and did Christmas the three of us. Brooklynn got her Bumbo seat from Santa and a bunch of clothes. Mommy got Tiffany's earrings, a jogging stroller and clothes. Daddy got a sound system and clothes. We all did great! We started really early because Brooklynn was done eating around 6. So we were done with our Christmas by 7.

Look how big she is sitting all by herself!
Daddy opening his sound system.
Modeling clothes.
Smiley baby
Then we got ready and headed to Grandma Cathy's house again to watch the boys open and exchange with her. We only spend about and hour or two there usually. After that we ran by Chuck and Renee's to meet Nicole.
After Christmas with Grandma Cathy we headed to my parents house. We opened present with them and mommy got a new camera lens to take lots of pictures with Brooklynn. Daddy got an iPad. Brooklynn got lots of clothes and toys. We are so spoiled!
Look how close she is to rolling over.
Mama and her beautiful baby.

Santa!
We took Brooklynn to see Santa on the 22nd. In hindsight this was the wrong day to go, because the wait was a bit long. None the less I am glad we took her. She asked him (in her sleep) for a bumbo. Which she got. (See Christmas post for pictures.) We took pictures in line. They turned out so cute. Here they are.
Her outfit says "Daddy's Angel", so it has wings on the back.

Christmas Card
I started working on our Christmas cards before Brooklynn came. I knew I had to send them out and probably wouldn't have time to get them done once she got her if I didn't have a head start. They were simple, but cute. Here is the picture we put in them.
And just because my baby is so dang cute. Here is another picture.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

One Month!!
Brooklynn smiles so much... and not just when she sleeps. She smiles when she is asleep right after she falls asleep.
She nurses like a champ. And I started pumping and she takes breast milk from a bottle beautifully.
Brooklynn is already out of newborn clothes. She could still wear newborn diapers, but she fills them so fast size ones are better. I know she has gained at least two pounds since she was a week old, but I am not sure exactly what she weighs yet. We will find out tomorrow!
She loves to be swaddled tight, so the Swaddle Me is our best friend. It looks like a baby straight jacket, but without it she moves when she sleeps and wakes herself up.
Brooklynn loves to be in the car and the stroller. She usually falls asleep pretty quick once in either of them. She is the same way in the moby wrap or the baby bjorn. She is a great sleeper!
She loves the water!! Bath and shower time is her favorite!

Blanket
When I was born, my aunt Karen made me a baby blanket. It was very special to me. I had a hard time giving it up actually. I slept with my blanket a lot longer than most kids. When we found out I was having a girl, I told my mom I really hoped my aunt would make Brooklynn a blanket just like mine. When my mom told my aunt about it, she had already started making one exactly like mine for Brooklynn. This blanket is a carbon copy of mine, just brand new! I took some pictures of Brooklynn wrapped up in her blanket today.
Aunt Karen,
This blanket is so special to me and I am sure it will be special to Brooklynn as well. Thank you for all of the time you put into it. We love it!

3 Weeks Old
Today our Brooklynn is three weeks old! She is only getting up twice during the night, which is so nice for mama! She is eating like a champ. I can't wait to find out how much she weighs! We have a doctors appointment in just over a week to see how much she weighs and her length. I know she is growing! She can still wear her newborn clothes, but we are putting her in some 3 month clothes as well. Diapers we are using up the rest of the newborns, but mostly putting her in ones.
I am enjoying being home with her!! She is such a blessing. Nate was able to take seven days off work to stay home with us. He really enjoyed being home, but got a little bored/ready to go back by the end of the week. Mostly she needs mama right now. We are so incredibly in love with our baby girl!!
She has been to church once. She slept through the whole thing (even the loud music). I was so proud of us. We got all three of us up and ready and we got to church early!!! Nate and I couldn't even make it on time when there was two of us.
Here are some pictures of her since we have been home.

We took our first outing to Target. Starting her off right. We ran into Dr. Moorehead (my OB) and her son. She slept through it in the cart, but it was nice to get out of the house.
This was her first walk around the block. It was a nice day out!
So awake!
With Grandpa. They were just talking.
At her first Dr.'s appointment. At only 6 days old she was back up to her birth weight. And had grown an inch in length and head circumference. They did her two week screening and she did not like that! Screamed bloody murder!
Some snuggle time with Mommy! I think this was her first Sunday at church.

Feeling Blessed
I can't imagine life without our Brooklynn. I mean life changed the minute she got here, yet I can't imagine how we ever lived without her. She is so precious. What a wonderful baby we have. I feel really good, which seems so strange, but I am not complaining. Brooklynn had her first doctor appointment today. She is back up to her birth weight. She grew an inch!! (How quickly they grow!) Working on getting her birth announcements out tomorrow.
I know this is really scattered but I am sticking to one project at a time. (Birth announcements today... tomorrow, blog updates!).
